Accessibility Statement
How we make this website and our services usable by everyone, and how to tell us if something is not working for you.
Our commitment
The Hearing Team LTD wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website, including people with hearing loss, sight loss, and those who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Clear, high-contrast text in a readable typeface, with a logical heading structure on every page.
- Every page works with a keyboard, and every button and link has a visible focus state.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- The site adapts to any screen size and respects your device's reduced-motion setting.
- No information is conveyed by colour alone, and no audio plays automatically.
- You can contact us by phone, WhatsApp, email or online booking, so there is always a way that works for you.
Hearing loss and communication
If you would rather not use the phone, WhatsApp and email are always available and we reply within working hours. At appointments, we are happy to communicate in writing, to speak slowly and clearly, and to make sure a friend or family member can be with you. Tell us what helps when you book.
Known limitations
Some downloadable documents from hearing aid manufacturers may not be fully accessible. If you need any information in a different format, contact us and we will provide it.
Tell us about a problem
If you find anything on this website you cannot use, or you would like information in another format such as large print, email info@thehearingteam.com or call or WhatsApp 07442 499414. We aim to respond within five working days.
Enforcement
If you are not happy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
