Phonak Audéo EON Sphere
Phonak's newest hearing aid, announced in August 2026 and in UK clinics from September. It carries the new HYPERSONIC chip, and it is 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the Sphere it replaces, with up to 38 hours on a charge. Three levels: E90, E70 and E50.

Eight colours. Yours to choose.
Sand Beige, Sandalwood, Chestnut, Champagne, Silver Grey, Graphite Grey, Velvet Black, and Sienna Red, which is new to this range. Click a swatch to see the shade. Your audiologist will bring the colours to your fitting so you can hold them against your hair and skin before you decide.
Same idea, far smaller.
The last generation proved the point: a second chip separating speech from noise beats simply turning the background down. EON keeps that, and fixes the two things people asked about, the size and the battery.
Phonak's new processor, which they say does the same real-time AI work on 37% less power. That is where the smaller shell and the longer battery come from.
The third generation of the speech separation Phonak built the Sphere range around, now alongside AutoSense OS AI 8.0, which decides what kind of room you have walked into.
Phonak quote up to 50 dB of wind noise reduction. If you walk, cycle, garden or watch football in the cold, this is the feature you will notice.
Bluetooth Classic for any phone, Bluetooth LE Audio, Auracast broadcast audio for theatres and airports, and Roger Direct built in for meetings and lectures.
E90, E70 or E50?
Same chip and the same colours in all three. What changes is how hard the speech separation is allowed to work, and how finely we can shape the sound for you.
For people whose real problem is busy places: restaurants, family gatherings, meetings. The speech separation runs without a cap.
- Speech clarity at full strength
- The most adjustment for us to work with
- Every EON feature, nothing held back
The same technology with the speech separation held at a medium setting. Strong in noise, and the level most people settle on.
- Speech clarity at medium strength
- Same battery, colours and connectivity
- Plenty of adjustment for everyday life
For quieter lives: home, one-to-one conversation, television, the occasional café. You still get the new chip and the new shell.
- Speech clarity at its lowest setting
- Same shell, battery and Bluetooth
- A clear step up from older technology
Styles, battery and the rest of the range.
Receiver-in-canal, rechargeable, in eight colours. Phonak quote up to 38 hours on a charge. Heavy streaming or constant speech separation will shorten that, and we will give you a realistic figure for how you live.
25% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous Sphere. If you looked at the last generation and thought it was too big, look again.
The same new chip and shell without the dedicated speech separation, at a lower price. The right choice if noisy places are not your main problem.
For hearing on one side only. The CROS device sits on the unaidable ear and sends sound across to the hearing aid on your better ear.
Frequently asked questions.
Same idea, smaller execution. EON keeps the dedicated second chip that separates speech from noise, but the new HYPERSONIC processor does that work on far less power. That is where the smaller shell and the longer battery come from: 25% smaller, 20% lighter, and up to 38 hours on a charge.
All three share the same chip, the same shell and the same colours. What changes is how hard the speech separation is allowed to work and how finely we can shape the sound. E90 runs it without a cap and suits people whose real problem is busy places. E50 is the entry point and still a clear step up from older technology.
Phonak announced EON in August 2026 and it reaches UK clinics from September. Book a free hearing test and we will tell you exactly where we are with it and let you hear the closest equivalent in the meantime.
It is a broadcast system that sends sound straight to your hearing aids in public places, appearing now in theatres, cinemas, stations and airports. It is genuinely useful where it exists, and the network is still growing. EON supports it, along with Roger for meetings and lectures.
Yes. CROS EON R picks up sound on the side you cannot hear from and sends it across to the hearing aid on your better ear. There is also Audeo EON R, which uses the same new chip and shell without the dedicated speech separation, at a lower price.
