Power aids have always been big. This one is not.

Super power hearing aids are the largest devices we fit, because moving that much sound takes a bigger receiver and a bigger battery. People with severe and profound loss have accepted that trade for decades. Enzo IA is the first rechargeable super power aid small enough that most patients stop noticing it by the end of the first week. It is not a cosmetic gimmick, it is the difference between wearing your hearing aids all day and taking them off at four o'clock.

Three levels, one hearing aid

Which Enzo IA suits you?

All three are the same super power device with the same amplification. What changes is how well they separate speech from noise, and how finely we can shape the sound to your hearing test. We recommend a level after your test, based on your results and how you actually live.

Being straight with you

There is no battery version. Think about that before you order.

Enzo IA is rechargeable only. There is no size 675 disposable option, which is what most people with profound loss have used for years. Twenty-eight hours is a long day and the charger is straightforward, but if you regularly stay away from home without power, if handling a small charger is difficult, or if you want a spare battery in your pocket as a safety net, we will say so and show you the alternatives. It is the single thing most likely to catch someone out, and it is better raised now than after your fitting.

Clear Focus

A four-microphone beamformer that ReSound describe as the narrowest in the industry. Their figures are a 2.7 dB improvement in signal to noise over the previous Enzo, and 93 per cent of users preferring it in noise. It works best on the person directly in front of you, which is exactly how most difficult conversations happen.

Battery and charging

Up to 28 hours on a charge, or around 20 with heavy streaming. The desktop charger runs on USB-C with status lights, so you can see at a glance that they are charging. IP68 rated against dust and moisture.

Connectivity

Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast, both working today. Connects to two devices at once, and a double tap answers a call. Direct streaming from iPhone 11 and newer, and from Android 13 and newer. A telecoil is fitted, so looped venues still work.

It needs a proper earmould

At this power level the earmould matters as much as the hearing aid. A poor seal means feedback and lost low frequencies, and no amount of programming fixes it. We take our own impressions and remake the mould if it is not right. That is included.

Frequently asked questions.

It is built for severe to profound loss, which is the level at which ordinary hearing aids stop having enough power to help. If your loss is moderate, a smaller aid will suit you better and cost less. We will tell you honestly which category you fall into after your hearing test, and we have no reason to push you upwards.

Yes. A telecoil is fitted, so induction loops in theatres, churches, ticket offices and taxis work as they always have. Auracast is the newer system that will eventually replace loops, and Enzo IA supports both, so you are covered either way.

Up to 28 hours from a full charge, dropping to around 20 hours if you stream music or calls for roughly half the day. For almost everyone that is a full day with room to spare, but there is no disposable battery option as a backup.

Powerful hearing aids whistle when sound escapes the ear and returns to the microphone. The answer is a well-made earmould and careful fitting rather than turning the aid down. If yours whistles after fitting, bring it back and we will remake the mould at no charge.

Vivia is the flagship for mild to severe loss and does not come as a power behind-the-ear. Enzo IA goes considerably louder and is the one to choose for profound loss. If you are somewhere between the two we will demonstrate both and let you hear the difference yourself.
