Three different Virtos.
Virto Infinio is not one product. Which version you get changes what it can do, quite dramatically, so this decision comes before choosing a level. The smaller it is, the more you give up: the rechargeable Virto streams from your phone and takes calls hands-free, the size 10 models and the Titanium do neither.
Full shell or half shell. Around 30 hours a charge. Full Bluetooth, streaming, hands-free calls, the myPhonak app and RogerDirect, on the newer sound system. The battery takes shell space, so it suits milder losses better.

The higher the level, the better in noise.
The level ladder works the same way as the rest of the Phonak range. The two features that do the work in a noisy room disappear below i70, so if you spend time in pubs, restaurants or groups, i70 is the floor. We recommend a level after your hearing test.
There is no Sphere in a custom shell.
This is the single most common misunderstanding about Phonak's range, so it is worth being direct about it: the AI chip that powers Phonak's speech separation does not fit inside a custom in-the-ear hearing aid. It is not a question of paying more, it does not exist as an option at any Virto level. If AI speech separation is the thing you want, you need a receiver-in-canal Sphere. If a custom in-the-ear shell is non-negotiable, Virto is genuinely good, but it is a different kind of hearing aid.

We take an impression of your ear at your appointment, and the hearing aid is manufactured to fit only you. Typically around two to three weeks from impression to fitting. There is no extra charge for the custom fit.

Yes, and it did not exist a year ago. Virto Infinio R puts a rechargeable battery and Bluetooth into a custom in-the-ear hearing aid, which used to mean choosing between discretion and convenience. It is larger than the size 10 versions, so it suits some ears and not others.
That depends entirely on your ear canal, which we look at before recommending anything. Some ears take a genuinely invisible fit. Others do not, and we will tell you that rather than take an impression and disappoint you later.
Usually a couple of weeks from the impression being taken. We can often do the impression at the same appointment as your hearing test.
