Starkey G Series AI
Starkey's everyday range, launched in the UK in 2026. The same AI directionality, without the flagship price, in rechargeable receiver-in-canal and power behind-the-ear. Five levels.
This is not the Starkey with the health tracking.
Starkey built their reputation on hearing aids that also count your steps and detect a fall. Those features live in Omega AI, not here. G Series is the everyday range: the automatic AI directionality, the streaming and the app, without the sensors. If you came looking for the fall alerts, we would rather tell you now than have you find out at the fitting. If you came looking for a well-made hearing aid at a sensible price, this is the one.
Which G Series suits you?
The number is the technology level, and the higher it goes the better the hearing aid copes with noise and the more finely we can tune it. The rechargeable receiver-in-canal comes in the lower two levels; the power behind-the-ear covers the full range. We recommend a level after your hearing test.
Restaurants, meetings, family gatherings. Full-strength AI directionality and the strongest noise handling in the range.
- Full-strength AI directionality
- Strongest speech in noise
- Most precise fitting
Home, television, shops, work, the occasional busier room. Strong directionality without the top-level processing.
- Strong to standard directionality
- Good noise handling
- Very precise fitting
Conversation and television. These are the two levels the rechargeable receiver-in-canal comes in, so this is where most rechargeable fittings sit.
- Standard to entry directionality
- Basic noise handling
- Rechargeable RIC available here
The rechargeable and the powerful are not the same model.
This is the thing worth understanding before you choose. The rechargeable receiver-in-canal is made in levels 12 and 10 only, so if you want rechargeable you are choosing from the lower half of the range. The behind-the-ear models go all the way up to 24 and have far more power, but they take size 13 batteries rather than charging overnight. You cannot currently have the top technology level and rechargeable in the same G Series aid. If both matter to you, we will show you what else does it.
Rechargeable receiver-in-canal, waterproof to one metre. A 312 battery receiver-in-canal. Power and ultrapower behind-the-ear on size 13 batteries, both with a telecoil. Four colours: silver, beige, graphite grey and chestnut.
The hearing aid recognises the room you are in and adjusts itself, rather than waiting for you to change programme. That is the whole point of the range, and it is the feature you notice most moving from older aids.
Bluetooth streaming to iPhone and Android through the My Starkey app, which also handles volume and programmes. The StarLink accessories add a TV streamer, a table microphone for restaurants, a remote microphone and a simple remote control if you would rather not use a phone at all.
The ultrapower behind-the-ear is genuinely powerful and will suit many severe losses. For profound loss we would also demonstrate a dedicated super power aid such as ReSound Enzo IA and let you compare them properly.
Frequently asked questions.
Omega AI is Starkey's flagship and carries the health sensors, the fall detection and the more advanced processing. G Series has the same automatic AI directionality and the same app and accessories, without the sensors and with less processing power at the top end. For most people in most rooms the difference is smaller than the price gap suggests, which is exactly why the range exists.
No. Fall detection and the activity tracking are Omega AI features. If those matter to you, we will show you Omega instead rather than sell you something that does not do what you came for.
Not in G Series. The rechargeable receiver-in-canal is made in levels 12 and 10 only. If you want the highest technology level and rechargeable together, we will demonstrate alternatives from other manufacturers that do both.
Yes, in the behind-the-ear models. The receiver-in-canal models do not have one. If you rely on loops at your place of worship, in theatres or at ticket counters, tell us at your appointment and we will take that into account.
It streams to both iPhone and Android through the My Starkey app. If you would rather not use a phone at all, the StarLink remote control handles volume and programmes without one, and the TV streamer works independently.
